Rights & corrections
Credit the work. Make the distinction. Correct the record.
Independent editorial work
We Could Fight is an independent editorial project. Our connections between music and current events are our interpretations, not statements of an artist’s views or endorsement. Listing an organization to support does not imply that it endorses this project.
Our editorial standards explain the checks we require and our approach to corrections. They are commitments, not a claim that mistakes cannot happen.
Copyright and reuse
The site’s copyright notice refers to our original writing and design, not to quoted lyrics or other third-party material. Copyright in those works remains with the respective rights holders.
Credits and source links identify the work; they do not grant permission to reuse it. We cannot grant permission to reuse material we do not own. Attribution, a short excerpt or noncommercial purpose does not by itself establish permission or fair use.
The U.S. Copyright Office’s fair-use guidance explains the case-specific assessment. This page is not a determination that any particular use is lawful.
Corrections and rights concerns
To raise a factual error, attribution problem or copyright concern, send the page URL and a description of the issue. For rights concerns, identify the work and your relationship to it. Include supporting source links where available, without sending sensitive documents.
We can be reached at contact@wecouldfight.org for copyright, other legal questions and correction requests.
External links and embedded recordings
Links are provided for reference, listening or information about organizations. Some post pages also offer playback through an embedded YouTube player. We do not control the content, availability or practices of those services; a recording may become unavailable or be restricted by the provider.
Embedding a recording does not mean that the artist, uploader or platform endorses this project or our interpretation. An embedded player does not grant permission to download, copy, redistribute or otherwise reuse the recording, lyrics or artwork. Rights review for our own quotations remains separate from the availability of a player.
